What to Prepare Before Requesting a Website Quote

You do not need a complete plan before contacting a web developer. A few practical details are enough to make the first estimate more useful.

Your main business goal

Decide what the website should help people do: call, request an estimate, book an appointment, buy a product, register, donate, or understand a service. One primary goal keeps the design focused.

The pages you probably need

Most local service businesses can begin with Home, Services, Projects or Gallery, About, and Contact. Additional pages should support a real customer question or search need.

Existing brand materials

Collect your logo, preferred colors, photos, reviews, social links, service descriptions, and contact details. Do not worry if some items are missing; a good discovery process will identify the gaps.

Examples you like

Share two or three websites and explain what you like about them. The useful detail is not “make mine look exactly like this,” but whether you prefer the navigation, spacing, photography, tone, or booking flow.

Budget and timing

A realistic range helps the developer recommend the right scope. Mention any launch deadline, event, seasonal need, or business opening that affects the schedule.
